Our beloved Joe Ledesma Serrano, age 71, of Austin passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021. He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Serrano, Sr.; first wife, Esmeralda Perez Serrano; two sisters: Rose M. Serrano Gonzales and Susan Serrano Saldivar; and sister-in-law, Christine Renee Serrano. Joe is survived by his second wife, Rosie Aleman Serrano; three children: Katherine Serrano Esparza (Michael, Sr.), B.J. Serrano (Wendy Nicole), Pedro Manuel Serrano (April Marie), two stepchildren: Leslie Garza Wright (Ellis), Israel Garza, Jr. (Caren), eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; mother: Cecilia Ledesma Serrano; sisters: Beatrice Serrano Estrada (Robert) and Christine Serrano; brother, Manny Serrano (Virginia); brother-in-law, Jose Saldivar; and numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home Chapel, 615 E. Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E. 9th St., Austin, Texas 78702.
