Patrick Rowe McGee, 81, passed away peacefully in his San Angelo, Texas home surrounded by family on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017.

Patrick was born in Austin, Texas on Dec. 12, 1936 to Pat and Ruth McGee. Patrick married the love of his life, Barbara Swafford, in 1956. He received degrees from TCU and Sul Ross University. Patrick was the family glue and set the standard for love in action. He was a teacher at school and church, a positive influence on all. He never met a stranger and was always interested in hearing about the lives of others.

Patrick is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Swafford McGee; children, Janna Lilly of Colorado, Rick McGee of San Angelo; and brother, Joe McGee of Pilot Point. Patrick is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial service is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 at San Angelo Baptist Retirement Community Chapel.
