Our beloved Jaime "JJ" Castaneda Sr., age 65, resident of Buda, Texas, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Zachary Castaneda and Mary H. Castaneda; his siblings, Joey Castaneda, Ronnie Castaneda, Ricky Castaneda, Jesse Castaneda, and Betty Castaneda.

JJ is survived by his children, Jaime Castaneda Jr. (Sara) and Jackie Castaneda O'Neil (Christopher); his beloved grandchildren, John Anthony, Micaela, Jacob, Catalina, Aliyah, Dominic Ortuno, Alayna, Aiyana and Aryia; his siblings, Michael Castaneda (Oralia), Jerry Castaneda (Cindy), John Anthony Castaneda, Renee Ramirez (Roy), and Danielle Castaneda; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745.
