Greg Sterling of Austin, Texas, died suddenly on Friday, April 10, 2009, from Congenital Heart Disease. Greg was born in Selma, Alabama, on August 23, 1969, to William and Barbara Sterling. He lived all over the world, including Thailand and New York, before his family settled in Austin in 1979. Greg married Kendra Landrum in 2000 and they had just begun raising two beautiful children, Jane and Drew. His kids will remember his silliness, piggyback rides to bed, and the stories they loved to read together. Greg was a very kind, devoted husband and proud father. Greg had a passion for food and his skills as a chef were phenomenal. Friends and family always requested he bring a dish to any gathering. Greg's friends and family will remember his passion for cooking and his kindness. His passing is truly a loss that cannot be put into words. Greg was preceded in death by both parents and is survived by his wife Kendra; children, Jane (6) and Drew (4) Sterling, brother, Robert Sterling and wife Debra of Cedar Park; sister, Donna Sterling and partner Roxann Neuman of Creedmoor; best friend and brother, Mark Dwyer; a niece and numerous nephews. Please join us for a celebration of Greg's life on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at 6:30 p.m., at Cannoli Joe's Restaurant in South Austin.
