Julia Alcala (De La Cruz)

Julia A. De La Cruz Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother Julia De La Cruz of Kyle, TX surrounded by her family and special friends died peacefully at home on Monday, June 25, 2007 after her courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Juanita Alcala and brothers Santos Bandera and Florentino Alcala. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Eulalio De La Cruz; daughters, Trini Fabian (Richard), Gloria De La Cruz (Edward), Sylvia Esparza (Fernando), Yolanda Flores (Richard), Angie Ramirez (Cecilio), and Janie De La Cruz (Roger); brothers, Manual Alcala (Janie), Daniel (Anna), John (Maria), Paul (Mary), and Joe (Henrietta); sisters, Linda Celedon (Manuel) and Elvira Romo; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. The family will receive family and friends from 6:30 p.m to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Angel Funeral Home, 1600 S. 1st St. Austin, TX. Rosary 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2007 at Santa Cruz Church , 1100 Main St. in Buda, TX. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Richard Fabian, Jr., Mario Fabian, Richard Flores, Jr., Jonathan De La Cruz, Michael Vega, Frank Vega, John Albert Ramirez, Fernando Esparza, Jr., and Isaac De La Cruz. Honorary pallbearers will be her sons-in-law, Richard Flores, Sr., Richard Fabian, Sr., Cecilio Ramirez, Jr., Fernando Esparza, Edward Garcia, and Roger Romero. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Ellen Smith and the staff at Southwest Cancer Center for all of their care and support.
