Obituary of Alfred Pineda

Our beloved Alfred Eugene Pineda, age 59, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Albert Pineda and Lupe Martinez Pineda; his brothers, John A. Pineda, Jr., Henry Pineda, Charles M. Pineda, and Martin P. Pineda; and his two grandchildren, Nicholas Lamar Gilliam and Gabriela Elizabeth Reyes.

Alfred is survived by his loving daughters, Michelle Marie Pineda and husband Vito, Laurie Ann Gilliam and husband Joe, Christine Pineda Reyes and husband Isaias, and Margaret “Maggie” Frances Pineda and husband Tony; 17 precious grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; his sisters, Helena M. and husband Strawberry Polanco, Olga Pineda Zuniga, Maria “Chicky” Pineda; and brother, Manuel Edward Pineda and wife Rose; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2017, Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
